The Horizontal furnace is capable of testing up to temperatures of 1250°C. This furnace is designed to comply with the relevant requirements of EN1363-1, 1363-2, Hydro-carbon curve, and ISO Standards relating to full scale fire resistance testing of elements of construction. We have supplied many furnaces of this size to laboratories and private companies through the world. The equipment has been specifically designed and developed over many years to produce a reliable and accurate method of testing various specimen configurations and essentially consists of a combustion chamber onto which various types of restraint frame containing the specimen can be positioned. The equipment is automatically controlled to specific time, temperature and pressure conditions and the reaction of the specimen to the heating is assessed against specific performance criteria. Loading of specimens up to 125 tonne can be achieved with the special load frame.
